First Thoughts

January 17th was the start of the Nifty Island beta and I have been playing every day since! Safe to say I am hooked. From the hours of building my own island, to the countless hours spent exploring others; this seems to be the start of something truly amazing.

For those that have gamed, you can think of it as a blend between Animal Crossing, Halo, and social media. Whether you like to design, play competitive games, or just digitally hang out with frens; it feels like there is something for everyone!

Creating an account and getting my wallets connected was a breeze. The game does have it’s issues with crashing, but it is still in beta and I expect those issues to dissolve as we approach the final release. In the mean time, I am having a blast exploring and building my island.

Points vs Blooms

Points are what will be factored into the upcoming $ISLAND airdrop. The goal is to earn as many points as you can each season to increase the amount of $ISLAND you will be airdropped.

Blooms are the Nifty Island in-game currency that you use to upgrade your island, light campfires, and unlock NFT rewards to use on your isalnd.

How To Earn Points

  • 1 Point = 100 Blooms earned

  • 1 Point = 1 player hour on your island

  • 20 Points = Account created using your Island link

  • 50 Points = Bloom reward purchased from marketplace

Tips For Collecting Blooms

  • Complete every Daily Challenge. These will earn you the most blooms.

  • Collect 100 Blooms from other islands (available every hour).

  • Place 25 Blooms on your island. You earn blooms when others pick them up.

  • Play games!

Community Leaderboard

To make things a little more interesting, Nifty has created a community leaderboard to keep track of how many holders from each partnered community create an account. The top 10 communities will be receiving an additional airdrop for points and blooms.

Giveaway For Alien Frens Holders

In an effort to help boost the Alien Frens community on the leaderboard, we are hosting a giveaway for all holders who create an account on Nifty Island and join the Alien Frens community. The rules to enter are simple:

1) Like & Repost the giveaway post on X

3) Post a screenshot in the comments of the post of your Nifty Island profile after joining the @alienfrens community & tag some frens

You must already be an Alien Frens OG or AFE holder to join the community on Nifty Island! Winner will be selected on Sunday, February 4th.

Chimpers Dojo Clash

The Chimpers are back and they are inviting EVERYONE for a clash in the dojo! Starting today, a new game called Dojo Clash goes live for all to play.

Players can choose from 15 playable characters from notable IPs across the space. The top 3 players will win prizes from Chimpers. Everyone that plays during the first 2 weeks will be entered into a raffle for some amazing prizes from the partnered communities!
