Alien Frens: 2 Year Anniversary

Building the Biggest Group of Frens in the Universe

There aren’t too many Web3 communities quite like Alien Frens. As they hit their two-year anniversary, it's the perfect occasion to reflect on the milestones and achievements that have defined this iconic NFT project.

The Launch and Early Days

It all started on December 20, 2021, when 10,000 Alien Frens were released onto the Ethereum blockchain. The excitement was palpable, with collectors around the globe eagerly minting these unique digital beings for 0.02 ETH. This marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey.

Full-Sending It

With prices and sentiment at an all time high, Alien Frens released a collaboration with Full Send on April 8th, 2022. There are 1000 Full Send Collab Frens. 500 were given to Alien Frens holders, and the other 500 were given to Full Send Metacard holders for absolutely free.

A Journey of Evolution and Expansion

April 2022 was a significant month for Alien Frens. On April 13th, Incubators were airdropped to holders, which could be burned for an AFE or held for “future use”. The very next day, the Alien Fren Evolutions were minted, adding a new layer of depth and value to the project. Mint price was 0.25 ETH for those without incubators. This was right around the time I joined the Frenship.

Innovative Tokenomics and Marketplace

June 2022 saw Alien Frens introduce their own off-chain coin, rewarding holders and enriching the ecosystem. Fren Coin could be used in their exclusive marketplace, which launched on September 3rd, 2022. The Fren Coin Marketplace was a game-changer, offering OG's, AFE's, WL spots, Ledgers, Frens Originals and many other items, all purchasable with the Fren Coin.

AF UFOs: Customization and Collaboration

The project's creativity shone brightly with the FREE Custom UFOs mint at the end of June 2022. This initiative allowed OG holders to design their own UFOs, which also served as multipliers for the Fren Coin.

AFE Brand Collaborations & Mutations

On March 31st 2023, the next Incubator Burn arrived. Frens who had decided to hold their incubators without burning them, now had 5 new burning mechanic options to choose from — 4 brand collaborations and Mutant AFEs. 

The collaborations consisted of Atari X, Liquid Death, Vayner Sports, and Transient Labs and further exemplified Alien Frens' commitment to innovation and community engagement.

The Atari & Liquid Death collabs have already minted out, but there are still some Mutants, Vayner Sports, and Transient Lab frens left to be minted! All you need is to head to the official Alien Frens site with an Incubator and AFE, and follow the instructions! Remember to ALWAYS verify links before connecting your wallet.

Community-Driven Initiatives

A standout feature of Alien Frens has been its responsiveness to the community. The introduction of the Fren Slam Bonus, a concept coined by the holders themselves, underscored the project's dedication to its community’s feedback. This initiative rewarded holders for collecting one of each faction within the OG Frens, enhancing the sense of unity and achievement.

Alien Frens Provenance Hash

Around October 2023, all Alien Frens images were hashed to the Ethereum blockchain using Security Hash Algorithm 256-bit (SHA-256).

One of the primary concerns in this space is the authenticity and provenance of digital assets. For Alien Fren holders, the Alien Frens Provenance Hash isn't just a technical process; it's a promise of value, trust, and uniqueness.

In essence, the Alien Frens Provenance Hash is more than just a technical marvel; it's a commitment to the holders. It assures them that what they own is genuine, valuable, and held to the highest standards of authenticity and integrity. What Alien Frens Means to Me

I was lucky enough to join the Frenship right around the time that Alien Frens Evolutions were minting. What drew me in was the art, what kept me around was the community. I know those words get thrown around a lot in the NFT world, but I feel like Alien Frens is a shining example of what an NFT project, brand, and community should be.

Without Alien Frens I would not have met my amazing girlfriend, any of the lifelong frens I’ve made, or be anywhere close to where I am today on my Web3 journey. I am forever grateful for this community and proud to call Alien Frens my Web3 home.

3Landers Takeover DesignerCon

In the bustling crowds of DesignerCon 2023, a vibrant and colorful presence captured the hearts of attendees, marking a significant milestone for the 3Landers community.

For the second consecutive year, 3Landers graced the convention, this time introducing the delightful Minimon brand, a recent sensation since its September 2023 debut at the Tokyo International Gift Show.

A Booth of Fun and Color

The 3Landers team, known for their creativity and passion, designed a booth that was not just a display but an invitation into their world. The setup was fun, colorful, and incredibly inviting, perfectly encapsulating the essence of both Minimon and 3Landers. It was a space that beckoned attendees to step into a realm of imagination and joy.

Minimon: A Cross-Generational Hit

The introduction of Minimon at DesignerCon, a strategic move to bring the brand to the States, was nothing short of a triumph. The brand resonated with people of all ages, proving that fun and connection transcend generational boundaries. The Minimon plushies, in particular, were a standout hit, flying off the shelves as attendees of all ages were drawn to their charm and quality.

A Day of Discovery and Delight

DesignerCon, a haven for collectors and enthusiasts, was the perfect backdrop for 3Landers and Minimon. The convention buzzed with excitement as people discovered new products and IPs to connect with.

The 3Landers booth, with its array of offerings, became a hub of activity. From the coveted Minimon plushies to the thrilling 3Landers blind box toys, which yielded the rare Mega Bear toy for a couple of lucky attendees (including myself), the booth was a treasure trove of delights.

The Allure of Variety

What made the 3Landers booth stand out was not just the products but the variety on offer. Stickers, enamel pins, notepads, tumblers, and the exclusive GOLD Booboo plush keychain – only available at the convention – showcased the brand's commitment to diversity and quality. This variety was a key factor in drawing people to the booth, offering something for everyone.

Community Connections: Beyond the Convention

The highlight for many was the gathering at Golden Road Brewing in Anaheim. Here, the 3Landers community, along with the team, came together in a celebration of Web3's power to connect people in real life. These moments of laughter, conversation, and shared passion underscored the unique strength of the 3Landers community.
